2008 Colorado Relay Results:
Congratulations to the teams of the 2008 Colorado Relay. 151 Teams began the race on 9/12 and 150 teams finished in Carbondale on 9/13. The race started with heavy rain at the new start line Georgetown, turning to snow while teams churned up Guanella Pass in the mud and muck. Georgia Pass was also snow covered and some teams were held at XP 7 while the course was deemed safe enough to pass. All teams were over Georgia Pass by 6pm.
Century teams also competed this year with the fastest time for the 112-mile version going to Team Judi's House in 14:42.
The fastest time belonged to the Mixed Division Winner, Robe Runners in 21 hrs, 26 minutes. While the weather played a role in slowing the overall pace, the extra 4 miles of the race course (compared to previous years) also added extra time.
