Greetings Teams!

Welcome to the August e-newsletter. We're very excited about the upcoming schedule of events and run up to the Colorado Relay. We hope your running season and training are both going well.

RELAY CLINIC, HAPPY HOUR AND VOLUNTEER MEETING: These fun and informative events are scheduled and available on our Events Page. Please check out the dates and times and requirements and make arrangements to attend as necessary.
In Date Order:

• Relay Clinic: August 28th - Specially designed for New Team Captains and runners who want to get the scoop on race logistics, details, rules and how to's from the Colorado Relay Staff and veteran Team Captains. 6:30-8:00 pm at the American Mountaineering Center in Golden.

• Relay Happy Hour: September 5th - We've all been training and working hard. Let's all take a break and have a beer together! Our fun-loving sponsor, Boulder Beer, has invited us all to their patio for free beer and light appetizers. All captains, runners, volunteers, family, friends and Relay Staff are invited. 5:30-7:30pm. Boulder Beer is located at 2880 Wilderness Place, Boulder, CO, 80301
  Details and directions.
• Relay Volunteer Meeting: September 12th - We'll meet to educate Official Volunteers on responsibilities, assignments, expectations and answer any questions. All team volunteers are recommended to attend. If the volunteer is a veteran Volunteer or is out of the area the captain may attend or may talk with Kristy Falcon about their assignment. Meeting is at the REI Flagship Store in Denver, 6:30-8pm.

T-SHIRTS: We are placing our T-shirt order based on the sizes listed in the Team Registration database for both participants and Official Volunteers. Please update this field by 8/15 for all your runners and volunteers so we can be as accurate in our order as possible. This year we will be pre-selecting T-shirts for the goodie bags. So if you order a size you will get it in your personalized goodie bag.
NOTE: the sizes are MEN'S SIZES. For example, if you wear a women's small, please select "X-Small". We will accomodate this smaller size this year. FYI shirts are short-sleeve this year.

If you are not accomodated in your size on race day we will either exchange another size with you at the finish line OR you will receive a voucher for the correct size and we will special order it for you.

VOLUNTEER DATABASE: Remember to get your volunteers into BOTH the Team Registration Database and request their shift through the Volunteer Assignment Database. Questions about volunteers can go to Kristy Falcon: volunteer@coloradorelay.com

• You may have one volunteer cover TWO consecutive shifts.
• If you have 3 or more volunteers please consider signing them up for one exchange point for the entire duration of the exchange point.
• Also, we are continuing our tradition of awarding a prize for the best Exchange point.
  

ROUTE LEGBOOK & HANDBOOK: We're working furiously to have these done on August 15. We'll send out a special e-newsletter when they are available. No printed copies will be available this year. Please print your own!

IN THE STORE
2007 Posters and T-shirts will be available starting September 1, 2007. Each runner and Official Volunteer will receive their shirt at the check-in. Please order additional shirts as necessary for your team. You can purchase shirts at the start line, finish line or at the Colorado Relay Store.
