EXCHANGE POINT PRIZES
There will be an award for the best Exchange point. All volunteers at that exchange point will receive or share a prize for their effort if they are selected. The Race Staff will judge this competition on the creativity, innovation, fun and enjoyment that the exchange creates for the race. We've seen great examples of:
- Music. We've seen a great exchange that only played the theme song to "Top Gun". This kind of repeating music is great if you're at that exchange for only a short time.
- Costumes. Glamour theme. Full length cocktail dresses and wigs were quite the contrast to the runners. We've also seen animal themes (liked the gorilla).
- Food. Again, the bacon was one of our favorites, but perhaps you know a food sponsor who is interested in bringing in crackers and cheese or cole slaw or some other unique theme. Please check with us on all sponsors and food products.
- Party. Remember that you do have jobs to do with your exchange, but if you can make it a fun festive Mardi Gras kind of thing go for it. Keep it safe and respect the area that you're in. A 3am party in a residential area might not be perfect. Use good judgement.
- Whatever your choice, please keep it safe.

| At exchange points the incoming runner hands off the wrist band to the outgoing runner (from the same team). Volunteers are required to get the outgoing runner to sign in as well as document the time of the exchange and get the incoming runner to sign that they have arrived. This is critical to the race as we account for all teams coming through each exchange in this fashion. We recommend having one volunteer doing the documentation onto the clipboard and having their volunteer partner assisting with the time, getting runners to sign in, and managing the crowd. |

Colorado Relay
NOTE: Teams are encouraged to request assignments. All Volunteers MUST ALSO be added to the Team Registration Database. Assignments and duty times will be finalized two weeks prior to the race. Volunteers will be given specific instructions and information regarding their assignment. Please attend the volunteer meeting.
